Description
This House Wren (Troglodytes aedon) and its mate made a nest on the front porch of our house in Connecticut. Once the eggs hatched, both parents endured a daily routine of catching one insect after another, all day long, to feed their young. The insects got larger as the babies grew. It never ceases to amaze me how fast the little hatchlings grow up. In about three weeks, they fledged, leaving their porch nest empty until next year.
