Description
This male Widow Skimmer (Libellula luctuosa) dragonfly was kind enough to pose on a blade of grass next to a pond in Connecticut. The males have a light blue abdomen, while the females do not. Since this is a male, wouldn't it be more appropriately called a "Widower Skimmer?"

Many thanks for your great comments, like, and fave, Morris! The dragonflies have not been very cooperative with my photographics efforts of late, but this one finally posed for me!
