Description
This little owl is a Northern Saw Whet Owl (Aegolius acadicus), one of the most common owls in the Northern forests of the USA. Although their big eyes and diminutive size make these owls look very cute to we humans, they are skilled nocturnal hunters of mice.
This owl was injured and now lives at a wonderful raptor sanctuary in Killingworth, CT called "A Place Called Hope."
