Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds (Archilochus colubris) are territorial little birds. Seeing two of them sharing a favorite branch is pretty uncommon, as they are usually swift to fend off would-be intruders. In this case, two females did spend a moment of relative peace next to one another before the "I was here first" claimant suggested, rather calmly, that the other bird leave (which she did)!
