This is a juvenile male ruby-throated hummingbird seeking out a few more calories from a fuchsia blossom just before nightfall in Connecticut, USA.
This is not a composite image.
This photograph won first place in the FAA contest "Glamorous Negative Spaces," as well as third place in the logo contest for the "500 Views" group contest, both in January 2017! I am so grateful to all those who voted! :-)
