Wonderful shot, love it.

Amy Porter replied:

Thanks very much, Khalid! These little birds hop around quite a bit, so I feel lucky to have this one sit still for 1/250th of a second!

Artist's Description

This is a male house wren (Troglodytes aedon) singing to defend his territory. Whatever distinction house wrens may lack in their coloring, they make up for with glorious singing. These small birds are a delight to listen to as they fly from branch to branch in the garden.

Wrens range from Canada to the southernmost regions of South America, and as such, are common across an enormous range.
