Description
We have been listening to the Barred Owls (Strix varia) "hooting" back and forth in the woods around our house in Connecticut for many years, but had never seen them perched. On a cold morning in January, I was lucky to find this one sitting at the edge of the woods warming up in the early morning sun. Even luckier, he was there long enough for me to go and get my camera!
